Ventilation Products: Air-inlets
Air-inlets
A well-functioning ventilation system is essential for obtaining good results from your poultry house. For that matter, the importance of the air inlets is often underestimated. Size, flap model, placement and mutual distance play a much bigger role in climate control than the location of the fans. The air inlets control the air and not the fans.
What are the requirements for air inlets?
- ensure a good mixing of air through a correct air speed
- easy to mount
- correct flap shape for good air flow
- easy to clean
- optional winter and summer position
- optional transparent model for daylight function
- must not freeze in winter
Abbi-flex air inlets are made of solid, double-walled PVC parts. They can be supplied to measure as regards length, width and depth, but are mostly supplied in standard dimensions. The required dimensions depend on the building and the number of animals. Smaller dimensions are preferred over bigger dimensions.
All Abbi-flex inlets have a flange connection to seal up cracks. The aerodynamically shaped flap ensures good air conduction and simplifies correct minimum ventilation. All inlets are provided with bird protection wire guard. For export purposes, inlets can be supplied in kit form to save transport costs.
The flaps are connected via cables and a winch motor controls their correct opening. The winch motor is linked to an static pressure controller, for instance a type SP2-Pa. This system can work independently from the central computer. Potentiometers can also be used.
